PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A restaurant owner in Philadelphia's Olney section became the victim of an armed robbery over the weekend.
It happened around 9 p.m. Saturday at Shauna's Restaurant in the 5400 block of Mascher Street.
The owner, Shauna Williams, was closing for the night when the suspect came in and pointed a gun at her.
"I turned around, and by the time I turned around, it was the gun right in my face and I started screaming, and I even fell," she said.
Williams says her children were having dinner in her restaurant at the time.
"I said 'take whatever you want,' and my kids were crying, saying 'please don't hurt my Mom, please don't hurt my Mom,'" she said.
She said the man stole from the register and also took her pocketbook.
Police describe the suspect as a male with a medium build and a tattoo on his right hand.
He was wearing a blue hooded jacket that was dark and royal blue on the bottom, ripped jeans and white New Balance sneakers.
He was last seen running through the SEPTA train station parking lot in Olney.
The landlord, Oren Lev said Williams has been there for seven years and she is well respected in the neighborhood. He said this is the first time anything like this has happened.
Williams tells Action News she's angry. She built this business for her family, and now her children are too afraid to go back.
"You're gonna pull a gun in front of my children, at me? I work so hard. When I say I work so hard, I go to school, then when I leave school, I go to work and I work so hard. For you to come and take what's mine and doesn't belong to you, that's crazy, and that's insane, and I want justice to be served," Williams said.
