PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 17-year-old has now been charged in the shooting death of a 12-year-old boy in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.
The teenager faces 3rd Degree Murder, Involuntary Manslaughter and related charges.
The investigation started just after 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in a home on the 1500 block of East Pastorius Street.
Upon arrival, police found the 12-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound.
"It looks like it discharged one time," said Inspector D.F. Pace.
The boy, who was identified as Ethan Parker, was rushed to Einstein Hospital where he died shortly after. Investigators said Parker was with the 17-year-old and a 15-year-old at the time. Investigators believe they were producing a music video.
