PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 68-year-old man was killed after being struck by a SEPTA train Thursday. Police say he was trying to cross between cars as the train was moving.
The passenger was struck around 5:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Nedro Street, near the Fern Rock Transit Center, in Philadelphia.
Police say the man was attempting to change cars when he slipped and fell from the train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shuttle buses are running from Fern Rock to Olney Station.
