PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Pennsylvania state police are investigating a road rage shooting that temporarily shut down Interstate 95 northbound, south of Cottman Avenue, during the Monday morning commute.
Police responded to I-95 NB, between Aramingo Ave. and the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, around 5 a.m. after receiving a report of a shooting near mile marker 27.
A 51-year-old man told police that he was traveling north on I-95 when he became involved in a road rage incident with another driver.
The victim described the other driver's vehicle as an older model maroon Honda Civic four-door sedan, with tinted windows.
He said the other driver fired four shots at him while driving alongside his vehicle.
The victim said he quickly maneuvered through traffic and got off the next exit, and the Honda Civic continued northbound on I-95.
Police said the victim's vehicle was struck by gunfire but the driver was not injured.
