Man found dead on front lawn in Northfield, NJ identified

NORTHFIELD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Authorities have identified the man who was found dead on the front lawn of a home in Northfield, Atlantic County.

The incident happened around 11:00 a.m. Friday along Virginia Avenue.

Police say 52-year-old Franklin Dwayne Gant Smith, also known as Kevin Charm, was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy revealed his manner of death to be a homicide.

No word on any possible suspects.
