'Diddy' trial recap: Defense questions 'Mia' about social media posts
Eyewitness News and ABC News legal contributor Bernarda Villalona break down the defense's questioning of "Mia" about social media posts to undercut her rape allegations.

NEW YORK -- The third week of testimony in the sex trafficking trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs wrapped up on Friday.

Prosecutors allege that Combs, a three-time Grammy winner, used his fame and fortune to create a deviant empire of exploitation, coercing women into abusive sex parties while silencing victims through blackmail and violence, including kidnapping, arson and beatings.

Combs' lawyers argue that all the sexual acts were consensual, and although he could be violent, he never veered into sex trafficking and racketeering.

"Bad Rap: The Case Against Diddy," a new podcast from "20/20" and ABC Audio, traces how the whispers of abuse came to light and led to the downfall of Sean "Diddy" Combs, who was once among the most influential entertainers and entrepreneurs in hip hop. 'Mia' testifies about the first time Combs allegedly sexually assaulted her

"Mia," the prosecution witness testifying under a pseudonym, testified that the first time Sean Combs allegedly sexually assaulted her was a few months into her job as his personal assistant, while they were at the Plaza Hotel in New York for his 40th birthday.

"Did you ever want to engage in sexual activity with Mr. Combs?" prosecutor Madison Smyser asked.

Looking down, "Mia" softly testified that she did not.

Combs had rented the Penthouse and asked to speak with "Mia" alone in the kitchen, she told the court.

"He was saying what a good job I was doing and that I didn't have to be nervous or scared to come to him," "Mia" testified. "He said he noticed I was doing a great job, sort of like, 'We're going to be working closer together.'"

"Mia" testified that Combs gave her two shots of alcohol. "I remember thinking, like, whoa, did I not eat or something, because they affected me, like, I felt like they hit me kinda hard," "Mia" testified. "I was in my 20s in New York and two shots would not have made me feel that way."

According to her testimony, "Mia" said she remembered standing against a wall.

"All of a sudden his face got closer, my eyes couldn't focus on his face because it was so close," "Mia" told the court. "He put his arm next to my head against the wall and leaned in to kiss me and put his other hand up the side of my dress."

Smyser asked, "Did you want Mr. Combs to kiss you?"

"No," "Mia" testified.

"Did Mr. Combs put his hand up your dress?" the prosecutor asked.

"Yes," "Mia" told the court.

"Did you want him to do that?" Smyser asked.

"No," "Mia" testified.

That alleged incident was not the only time that Combs made an unwanted sexual advance to her, "Mia" told the court.

'Mia' tells the court Combs threw a computer at her, gave her drugs

The prosecution witness testifying under the pseudonym "Mia" told the court that Sean Combs once threw a computer at her in his trailer while on the set of a music video in Los Angeles.

The W-iFi was not working, "Mia" told the court, and when she told Combs technicians were working on the issue, Combs allegedly interrupted her.

"He cut me off and started screaming at me that I shouldn't come back here until I figured out the Wi-Fi myself. Something about, 'I don't care if you have to call Bill Gates.' He chucked a computer at my head," "Mia" told the court.

"Mia" further testified that at another time, in the kitchen of Combs' house after a night at a club, Combs ordered her to "go get everybody IHOP right now."

"We had been out since eight in the morning, like, go, go, go," "Mia" told the court, saying that she then turned to go to her room because "I was on my period and needed to change my tampon."

Her failure to immediately attend to the errand upset Combs, "Mia" testified.

"He was pissed," "Mia" told the court. "Like, 'Yo, girl I told you now. I didn't tell you go to your room.'"

In her testimony "Mia" described "blood dripping down my leg" and Combs allegedly taking a bowl of spaghetti in his hand, telling the court that "he threw it at me aggressively and started cursing at me and told me to get the f--- out of his house."

The next day, "Mia" testified, she was informed that she was going to be suspended without pay.

"Mia" rarely looks up during her testimony. She keeps her head down, speaking into her lap.

"Sometimes he treated me like his best friend, his working partner. Sometimes he treated me like I was a worthless piece of crap," "Mia" testified, pausing to sip from a water bottle. "He would humiliate me. He would curse at me. He would go on really long extended rants about how incompetent and stupid I was. Threaten my job."

"Mia" told the jury that Combs would dangle job opportunities before her or threaten to take them away, depending upon his mood.

"He would say things like, 'One day, you can do whatever you want at any of my companies,'" "Mia" testified. Other times, she alleged, Combs would threaten to take away her television credits or to scrap projects on which she worked.

"Mia" also testified that Combs gave her drugs. On one occasion, she alleged that he gave her MDMA and told her "That I was now a part of the breakfast club," which she testified was a "close circle of friends that partied through breakfast. It was like a cool kids club."

"Mia" told the court that she witnessed Combs take drugs at "inappropriate" times. "One was a board meeting," she testified, while another was at Chelsea Handler's TV talk show.

"Mia" told the court that she remembered thinking of Combs, "When was I going to have to pull him aside and tell him 'you're a little crazy at the moment.'"

"Mia" also testified, as other witnesses have, that Combs kept drugs in a Louis Vuitton pouch, calling it "Sort of like a traveling medicine cabinet."

'Mia' tells court aftermath of 'hotel nights' sometimes included broken glass, blood and candle wax

"Mia" called them "hotel nights," referring to when Sean Combs and Cassie Ventura allegedly spent nights at hotels, according to her testimony

"I would sometimes take them there, unpack, set up and I would have to just be on call essentially if he needed anything and clean up before housekeeping," "Mia" told the court.

"Mia" packed "all of his lotions and potions, baby oil, Astroglide, condoms" and candles, she testified.

"There was a mixture of the cheap and the expensive ones. The cheap ones were the Glade white linen with the label off, and the expensive ones were Diptyque," "Mia" told the court about the candles.

"Mia" testified about one such night at the London Hotel in New York, during which Combs allegedly asked her to bring something to his room.

"Cass answered the door wearing a bright blue wig," "Mia" testified, telling the court that Ventura looked "like she was struggling, different than I had seen her before so much that I asked 'Are you good?' Essentially, like, 'are you ok?'"

"Mia" testified that Ventura responded "'No, no I'm OK, I'm good,' and closed the door."

"Mia" told the jury that it was "standard procedure" for her to clean up the hotel rooms in which Combs stayed. "He wanted to clean up enough stuff that a housekeeper couldn't take and run to TMZ or expose anything about his personal private business," she testified, describing the rooms looking like "a nightmare" after Combs left.

"They were just destroyed. Very messy," "Mia" further testified about the state of the hotel rooms. "I saw a lot of candle wax everywhere that was impossible to get out. There would be lots of wet towels everywhere. I've seen broken glass, sometimes blood, oil all over the furniture." She testified that Combs called the blood "period blood." Ventura previously testified that Combs expected her to engage in "freak-offs" while she was on her period.

"Mia" told the court that Combs' staff referred to Combs' and Ventura's recovery after the hotel nights as "man down," because "they would basically stay in the room and sleep for a day or two or three."

"Mia" testified about one alleged occasion when she said Ventura expressed reluctance about going to a hotel with Combs.

"Uck," "Mia" told the court Ventura said about the prospect, adding that Ventura "was visually upset. More like nervous. Really nervous and she started getting stomach issues because of it."

'Mia' testifies about Ventura hiding from Combs on vacation: 'He's gonna kill me'

The prosecution witness testifying under the pseudonym "Mia" told the court about a time when, while vacationing in Turks and Caicos, Cassie Ventura came "running and screaming" into her hotel room.

"She was screaming for help and saying 'You gotta help me. He's gonna kill me,'" "Mia" told the court, referring to Combs, describing it as "the most terrified scream" before the two women started blockading the door with furniture and running out the back door to the beach.

"I just remember we were running so fast down the beach and I remember being shocked that we could still be attacked by mosquitoes while running," "Mia" testified.

She testified about another time while attempting to escape an allegedly "irate" Combs on the beach when she and Ventura hopped onto stand-up paddleboards and paddled out to sea.

"He was running back and forth on the beach behind the house screaming at us," "Mia" told the court. "We were able to get out very far. I just remember things getting smaller and smaller."

At some point the weather turned unfavorable, "Mia" testified, prompting her to think that she and Ventura would have to make a choice: "Face mother nature or go back to face Puff."

"Mia" also told the jury about a time she sat next to Combs and Ventura at the premiere of the Brad Pitt Movie "Killing Them Softly" at the Cannes Film Festival.

"Puff was talking to Cass with his teeth clenched but in an aggressive way. He was digging his nails into her arm," "Mia" alleged to the court.

"Mia" told the court that she never called police to report Combs' alleged violence because she came to believe "Puff's authority was above the police."

"It was also a time period years and years before social media or #MeToo or any other example where someone had stood up successfully to someone in power like him," "Mia" testified.

"Mia" also told the court that she was taught to believe in confidentiality and loyalty to Combs.

"I was supposed to protect him because there were so many people trying to blackmail him," she testified.
