When Maggie Kent got the job at Action News, she got the chance to come home



She wakes up "dark and early" on Saturday mornings to anchor the broadcast and start the weekend off right. During the week you can find her "hitting the streets."

During her time with Action News, she's covered countless stories, connecting with viewers throughout the Delaware Valley. From the Shore to the Poconos, she's where the community's stories are, proudly lending a voice and a platform to our neighbors.

Maggie started her career carrying her own camera through the streets of the Bronx as a multimedia journalist and reporter for News 12 The Bronx and Brooklyn. She eventually became the evening anchor, and it was there that she was nominated for an Emmy Award.

In 2016, Maggie joined the team at WCBS in New York City. There, she covered a wide range of stories including the 2016 Presidential Debate at Hofstra University, terrorist attacks, storm coverage, and countless local and international issues.

Maggie is a graduate of Montclair State University and holds a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting.

She grew up in the Italian Market, receiving her education in the Philadelphia Public School System and is a graduate of Central High School (267!).

Maggie is a true foodie, who loves to patronize local spots for lunch in the news van.

She is a proud wife and mother.
